Born in 1969 in Jammu to a family that migrated from Pakistan-Occupied J&K during the 1947 partition, Colonel Ajay K Raina was commissioned into the Indian Army in 1990. He commanded 93 Field Regiment and served with Rashtriya Rifles in North Kashmir — earning the Sena Medal for Gallantry.
After 27 years of distinguished service, he took premature retirement in 2017 to pursue military history, nation-building, and truth-telling through writing, speaking, and his YouTube channel Trinetra.
